Participle
Past participle is a participle that is
generally formed by adding suffix (d/-ed) to the base form (infinitive) in the
form of regular verb. In the base form of irregular verb, the past participle is
not consistent. Past participle is one of the five forms that are owned by
verb.
As an adjective, past participle must
be behind the word to be or to explain a noun placed in front of the noun.
Then when it becomes part of the verb,
past participle is always accompanied by the form of to have (have, has or
had). Past participle can also be used as a verb with the condition before the
word past participle must use the auxiliary in front of it.

Present Perfect Tense
§ Used in the form of Present Perfect Tense
( S + have/has + V3)
Example:
Kyungsoo has eaten all food in the kitchen

Past Perfect Tense
§ Used in the form of Past Perfect Tense
( S + had + V3 )
Example: Taeyang had married two years
ago

As main verb in passive voice

Example: The man is bored by the

Ex:
They are eating cooked food
Adj
Cooked describe what something is like permanently.
So once that food is cooked it will stay cooked. It doesn’t become something
else.
As a verb
Ex:
He has cooked dinner for us

As used in perfect tenses: describe a
finish action. So it’s something that’s done and it can’t be change similar
with how you use it as an adjective.

Pembahasan : Pada kalimat diatas All the tenants dinyatakan sebagai
subjek, karena all the tenants lebih dari 1 orang sehingga dia menggunakan were
sebagai to be. Kemudian invited merupakan bentuk dari past participle (V3). Were invited
dinyatakan sebagai verb, Jadi kalimat diatas merupakan yang correct atau benar bentuk
past participle.
2. The pizza is served in this
restaurant is the tastiest in the country.
Pembahasan : Pada kalimat diatas pizza merupakan subjeknya, kemudian
kalimat is yang berada sesudah kalimat restaurant merupakan verb. Lalu Kata
served merupakan bentuk dari past participle (V3). Jadi kalimat
diatas merupakan kalimat yang inccorect
atau salah karena mempunyai double verb yaitu is yang ada setelah kata
pizza.
3. Any bills are paid by the first of
the month will be credited to
your account by the next day.
Pembahasan :
Pada kalimat diatas bills merupakan subjek, kemudian will be credited merupakan
verb yang dimana credited merupakan bentuk past participle (V3). Jadi pada
kalimat diatas seharusnya tidak perlu menggunakan kata are lagi dimana kalimat
diatas terdapat double verb, jadi kalimat diatas dianggap inccorect atau salah.
4. Toni had
married one years ago
Pembahasan :
Pada kalimat diatas kata Toni sebagai subjeknya, kemudian had merupakan bentuk
dari past perfect
tense. Dan pada kata married merupakan bentuk dari past participle (V3) yang dimana
kata married juga merupakan kata kerja atau verb. Jadi kalimat diatas termasuk
kalimat yang correct atau benar
dalam bentuk past participle.
5. Spaghetti is cooked by Kai every week
Pembahasan :
Pada kalimat diatas kata Spaghetti sebagai subjeknya, kemudian is merupakan to
be, lalu kata cooked adalah bentuk dari past participle (V3) yang dimana
kata married juga merupakan kata kerja atau verb. Jadi kalimat diatas termasuk
kalimat yang correct atau benar
dalam bentuk past participle.
